“For God so loved the world that He gave…”
Saturday, March 16 is “3:16”: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV) And God willing, it is the 3,033rd consecutive Saturday at TTT.
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV
In his book “God So Loved the World,” Lee Rogers says, “This is the most inclusive statement of God’s love in all Scripture. It includes every tribe, language, people, and nation. God so loved the world means God so loved everyone … God so loved every single person you encounter every single day. No one is exempt from the love of God.”
God is the greatest giver.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9 NKJV
In his book “Think Ahead,” Craig Groeschel wrote: “If you want to be generous when you have more, learn to be generous when you have less.”
“Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10 NKJV
Groeschel writes: “Did you notice it says firstfruits? Generous people put God first. That takes faith. It doesn’t take faith to give God your leftovers … What takes faith is to give God the first 10 percent … How do we give Him the first 10 percent, use our faith, and make sure it’s not leftovers? … giving to God first is such a crucial part of your decision to be generous. And did you notice, in Proverbs 3:9-10, that once again God promises to generously bless those who first generously give to Him?”
Groeschel says, “If you want to be generous someday, start being generous today. Pre-decide: I will be generous. Generous is not just what we do, it’s who we are. We were made in the image of a generous God who gave His Son for us. Our generous God tells us it’s more blessed to give than to receive. We will be happier. We will better represent our God. We will make a bigger impact and leave a better legacy.”
Have you personally responded to God’s ABCs of salvation?
A – Admit you’ve sinned. ” For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 NKJV. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NKJV
B – Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
C – Confess Christ publicly. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
