“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 NKJV
“Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. … But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Then they said to her, ‘Woman, why are you weeping?’ She said to them, ‘Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.’ Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?’ She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, ‘Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.’ Jesus said to her, ‘Mary!’ She turned and said to Him, ‘Rabboni!’ (which is to say, Teacher). Jesus said to her, ‘Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” ‘ Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.” John 20:1-2, 11-18 NKJV
Easter songs continue to tell the story that Jesus Christ is alive. Robert Lowry wrote “Christ Arose”: “Up from the grave He arose, with a mighty triumph o’er His foes. He arose a victor from the dark domain, and He lives forever with His saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!”
On Palm Sunday, President Donald J. Trump posted on “Truth Social” a letter he received from Franklin Graham last October: “This week you commented to the media that you might not be heaven bound. Maybe you responded in jest, but it is an important issue to know for certain that your soul is secure and will spend eternity in the presence of God. The only One who can save us from Hell is Jesus Christ. You can’t save yourself; I can’t save myself. Good works, prominence, success – none of these get us to Heaven. The only way to Heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. God requires us to turn from our sins and, by faith, believe in our heart that Jesus came to earth, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and God raised Him to life on the third day. If you accept that by faith and invite Him to come into your heart, you ARE heaven bound, I promise you. The Bible says, ‘If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved’ (Romans 10:9). You continue to be in our prayers.”
Paul Cedar is one of the most effective and far-reaching Christian communicators I know. Since meeting in Los Angeles in January 1960, we have shared together personally in Cedar Rapids, Washington, Chicago, Charlotte, St. Louis, and Evansville; and with his wife Jeannie, and my wife Mary before the Lord took Mary to heaven over 11 years ago. With my daughter Tami, we are in consistent communication praying together.
Paul says, “Easter is my favorite holiday… We are celebrating the life, the love, and the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is God’s special gift to us, the gift of eternal life (John 3:16)! This is the holiday when we celebrate our gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ!

When you personally “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,” your challenge is to “be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” (2 Timothy 4:5)
