Let’s expand north, south, east, west

“Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited.” Isaiah 54:2-3 NKJV

The song “Shout to the North” answers the question “Will you help take the gospel everywhere?”

“Shout to the north and the south, sing to the east and the west, Jesus is Savior to all, Lord of heaven and earth.”

“Rise up church with broken wings, fill this place with songs again of our God who reigns on high, by His grace again we’ll fly.”

Within 100 miles of TTT Christian youth ministries – 13000 US Highway 41 North at Boonville New Harmony Road, midway between Evansville Regional Airport and Interstate 64 – are 93 Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky counties.

Lee Roberson was born in English (Crawford County) Indiana. In 1942, he became pastor of Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, and sponsored one chapel: the Central Avenue Mission.

J.R. Faulkner was born again in his hometown of Charlotte at the Mordecai Ham campaign, where Billy Graham, T.W. Wilson, and hundreds more came to Christ. These three and others soon attended Bob Jones College.

Soon after graduating from Bob Jones, J.R. Faulkner became Lee Roberson’s associate. Together they built what would become the world’s largest local church.

Reflecting about their chapel ministry, Faulkner wrote: “Roberson set out immediately to organize new chapels because God had laid upon his heart the burden to make Highland Park the nearest thing to a New Testament church that he possibly could.”

He considered Chattanooga and Hamilton County, Tennessee and surrounding areas his “Judea and Samaria,” endeavoring to reach people within a 70-mile radius with the Gospel, and “the uttermost parts of the Earth.”

As the chapel ministry expanded, and the need to train more for ministry, Roberson organized Tennessee Temple Schools. By September 1973, they were sponsoring 59 chapels toward a goal to have 100.

It was my privilege to know and work with Dr. Lee Roberson and J.R. Faulkner.

When Christians pray and work together, great things can happen.

TTT Christian Youth Ministries has three distinctives: aggressively evangelistic, Bible believing, and church connected.

Please join us in praying earnestly for “laborers in His harvest” – students and adults willing and available to receive evangelism training and to participate with Fair Share, going with the Gospel to county fairs and street festivals across the Tri-State. Between late June and mid-August, there are potential open doors for teams to go as many as 15 county fairs and street festivals. Tent banners, cold bottles of water, God’s ABCs, Bibles, and individual conversations all proclaim the “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” message.

Jesus said: “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38 NKJV

We thank God for every person who is part of the TTT Team – more than 400 people praying and investing time, talents, and treasure to help the ministry keep reaching forward toward the ongoing vision: Every youth, before turning 20, to hear the Gospel with an invitation to “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.”

We are praying earnestly and searching to build the TTT Team of praying “laborers in His harvest” – students and adults willing and available to receive evangelism training and to participate with Fair Share, going with the Gospel to county fairs and street festivals across the Tri-State.

Full scholarships are available for at least 99 to attend the June 14 Leading Youth Saturday. They will be challenged and equipped to share the Gospel one-on-one with individuals through Fair Share this summer. The Leading Youth day will climax with the weekly TTT Saturday night outreach event, including Fair Share commissioning and free pizza for all in attendance.

Leading Youth Resource Information Connections (LYRIC) with Bible believing congregations throughout the Tri-state will accelerate the mission – Telling The TRUTH to / through teenagers … to win them to Christ and train them for Christ … teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities, and into their world, wherever God leads them in their future – across the tri-state and globally.

“Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 NKJV

Let’s expand north, south, east, and west together. Christ through you can change the world!
