“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.”Ephesians 1:17-19 NKJV
“Echoes of Grace,” a live radio broadcast, was produced every Saturday morning from 7:30 to 8 AM. Every Friday evening, Pastor Charles Pedersen hosted a rehearsal time. One Friday, he said, “George, I’m going to be out of town tomorrow, and I have provided the message for you to read on the air if you are willing.” The following Friday, Pastor Pedersen said, “George, I’ve got to be out of town again tomorrow, but I have an outline of the message for you to share.”
The third Friday, Pastor Pedersen said, “George, I have to be gone again tomorrow. I didn’t have time to write a message or prepare an outline, so I would like for you to speak on the broadcast tomorrow.”
The following week, Pastor Pedersen met with the Grace Memorial Church board, announcing that he had accepted another pastorate in Elkhart, Indiana, that we had a contract with the radio station to continue broadcasting each Saturday, and that he had trained me to keep the broadcast going.
I was stunned, prayed a lot, and asked my parents and friends to pray. As a senior in high school, I produced “Echoes of Grace” on live radio every Saturday morning.
“And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.” Ephesians 1:19 NKJV
My Dad consistently shared this challenge: “Keep praying and stay close to the Lord. And at a moment’s notice, be ready to preach, pray, sing, or die.”
“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3 NKJV
The TTT Christian Youth Ministries Fall Festival booth (# 54) provides some unique open doors for proclaiming the Gospel: the “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” message displayed on banners, custom imprinted napkins, and bottles of water; TTT “Jesus Christ Changin’ the World” t-shirts worn by team members; God’s ABCs of salvation, TTT info, and conversations. It’s a blessing to connect with many TTT alumni and others, and the outreach effort raises much-needed funds for the ongoing ministries of TTT.
We thank God for every person who prays and invests time, talents, and treasure with TTT, as we move “Together Toward Tomorrow” with the ongoing vision: Every youth, before turning 20, to hear the Gospel with an invitation to Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Every believer can be a “truth-telling connector.” It’s a privilege to share with Bible-believing congregations the need to multiply, distributing God’s ABCs of salvation one by one to every possible person.
A – Admit you’ve sinned (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23). B – Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16). C – Confess Christ publicly (Romans 10:9-10).
Spaced repetition using every means and media possible presents the answer to the question “What must I do to be saved?”
Billboards placed along US Highway 41 and other prominent locations present the message “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Every printed copy of God’s ABCs has a reproduction of the “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” billboard on the cover.
“The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword …” Hebrews 4:12
TTT Christian Youth Ministries is headquartered at the Christian communication center, 13000 US Highway 41 North at Boonville New Harmony Road (midway between I-64 and the Evansville airport).
Youth and adults from all 50 states and at least 40 nations worldwide have been trained in youth evangelism at TTT and have gone “into all the world to preach the gospel to every creature.” And many are continuing “on mission.”
The next Leading Youth evangelism training day is to be Saturday, November 14 (3 PM through the TTT 7:27 Saturday night, climaxing at 8:30). Scholarships are available covering the cost, including materials and food. Registration deadline is 5 PM the preceding Thursday, November 12.
Are you willing to receive the greatness of God’s power?
