An angel of the Lord appeared to Mary’s fiancé in a dream, saying: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.'” Matthew 1:20-21 NKJV
Shepherds were watching over their sheep at night, when an angel of the Lord appeared to them and said: “Do not be afraid … I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11 NKJV
The shepherds determined to go immediately to Bethlehem. “And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.” Luke 2:16-18 NKJV
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” Luke 2:52 NKJV
“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 NKJV
Liberty University reported, following a recent large outdoor student worship service on the campus: “Chancellor Jonathan Falwell told students he appreciated their willingness to give up their time at the end of the semester to worship God, noting that several other universities around the country have instead seen students gather on their lawns for protests. Falwell said the service was important in the light of the passages they have been studying this semester and highlighted ‘how amazing it is that Liberty students come to our lawn, and what we do rather than attacking one another is lift up the name of the only One who is worthy of our praise, and that is Jesus Christ, King of kings, and Lord of lords.'”
Christian media executive Phil Cooke wrote: “Recently, much of America has been shocked by the protests of thousands of students on the campuses of what we consider ‘elite’ universities. But it’s important to know that these ‘protests’ weren’t random or spontaneous; they were heavily funded, planned, and rehearsed. The shock for most was that after the brutal invasion, rapes, and murders of Israelis by Hamas in October, the wave of students defending those actions took many by surprise. The story of the West’s capitulation to these ideas and forces is the story of turning our backs on a Judeo-Christian culture.”
Cooke writes that the fear of “Christian Nationalism” is “dimply a diversion to scare us away from looking closely at the ideas, freedoms, and values that build Western civilization … Christian culture laid the foundation for giving human beings personal dignity, built hospitals, elevated women, and created the very universities at which these students are chanting ‘Death to America.’ … The loss of absolute Truth opens the door to any idology, culture, or whim. Without Truth, you can’t say one culture is more valuable or productive … It’s not an overreach to say that without Truth, all that is left is chaos.”
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 NKJV
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 NKJV
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:10-11 NKJV
It becomes the responsibility of every individual who has made the decision to personally “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” to “Go tell … that Jesus Christ is born” … and He is alive!
