“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21 NKJV
Celebrate Jesus: Savior!
Carols, candles, and bells are reminders that it’s Christmas time. Everyone who has made the determination to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ should endeavor to keep Christ in Christmas every day.
Traditionally at TTT Christian Youth Ministries, the first Saturday of December is “Family Night.”
We celebrate Christmas gathering around a birthday cake that visually tells the “Why” of Christmas: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” 1 Timothy 1:15 NKJV
The shape of Jesus’ birthday cake is round to represent the world in which He was born.
Each layer is a different significant color: The bottom layer is black (dark chocolate), representing the fact that all people have sinned. The center layer is red, symbolizing Jesus’ blood shed for our sins. The top layer is green, denoting the new life we have in Christ after our sins have been washed away.
The white frosting stands for the righteousness and purity of Jesus Christ.
A border of red hearts represents brothers and sisters united in Christ, circling the Earth as His witnesses.
On the top is a gold star, typifying the star that shone heralding Jesus’ birth and lighting the way to where it had taken place. The six-point Star of David represents the number of man, and shows us that the grace of God includes us all (not only the Jewish people whose Messiah is our Savior, but everyone who is willing to Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ).
“Give the light” is the 2025 TTT Christian Youth Ministries theme. Jesus said. “I am the light of the world.” (John 8:12)
Each participant is given a small candle to hold as all sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus, followed by singing “Silent night” or “Joy to the World.”
Then we present God’s ABCs of salvation:
A – Admit you’ve sinned. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 NKJV. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NKJV
B – Believe on Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
C – Confess Christ publicly. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
The invitation continues: Will you admit you have sinned? Will you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ personally? And will you invite every possible person to Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? And everyone sings together: “Go Tell It on the Mountain.”
Matthew 1 records “the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David…” There are 28 generations from David to Jesus.
As Joseph was considering how to respond to the news that Mary was with child, “behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, ‘Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.'” Matthew 1:20-21 NKJV
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.” Micah 5:2 NKJV
Location, location, location: the major consideration for property.
My daughter Tami, now president of TTT Christian Youth Ministries, a graduate of Liberty University, a CPA and attorney, did some research on the TTT property. She learned that in 1818, John Ingle, the son of a Baptist pastor from England, came to America, settling in southern Indiana. Building a log cabin, he provided lodging and hospitality for itinerant preachers. The road alongside the “Ingle Cabin” went East to Boonville and West to New Harmony, and the north-south “Red Banks Trail” extended from what is now Henderson, Kentucky to Vincennes, Indiana.
Circuit riders taking the Gospel from south to north, and from east to west, were welcomed through John Ingle’s hospitality for meals and overnight lodging.
The land John Ingle obtained in 1823 encompassed the property God would provide for TTT nearly 150 years later, continuing to share the Gospel today.
Jesus will save you now.
