“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 2:17 NKJV
On Saturday, June 1, 2002, John M. Dunn, chairman of the executive board of TTT Christian Youth Ministries, presided over the site preparation ceremony for TTT’s 4,500 square-foot building addition. H.S. Barger, one of TTT’s initial board members, served as liaison with architect Jack Kinkel.
The training addition was designed to include a large snack shop and game room, two ready rooms with showers and restroom facilities for men and ladies, a large conference room, and an enlarged copy center.
The project also revamped and repaired the existing TTT Christian Communication Center (13,000 square feet), located on a 30-acre campus at 13000 US Highway 41 North at Boonville New Harmony Road, midway between Interstate 64 and Evansville Regional Airport.
Consistently, we endeavor to follow the admonition of Isaiah 51:2-3 NKJV: “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your habitations; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left …”
The enhanced and expanded training addition’s purpose is to multiply TTT’s mission: “Telling The TRUTH to/through teenagers … to win them to Christ and train them for Christ … teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities, and into their world, wherever God leads them in their future.”
My daughter Tami Leigh Dooms, TTT’s president, endeavors to challenge 10-19 year-olds and adult youth workers to be trained, motivated, and organized to go with the Gospel, especially to Tri-State county fairs and street festivals each summer.
During July and August 2025, Tami spearheaded teams to take Fair Share to Gibson, Knox, and Warrick counties in Indiana; Edwards, Lawrence, Richland, Wabash, and White counties in Illinois; and McLean County, Kentucky.
Each TTT Christian Youth Ministries station included a tent, tables, and banners reproducing TTT’s billboard, sharing the message “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Copies of TIGER*EYE – Teens Involved Going Evangelizing Regularly: Evangelistic Youth Efforts – were distributed, along with copies of God’s ABCs of salvation and bottles of ice cold water, each with the “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” message. The Gospel was shared one-on-one with 231 teenagers and preteens, and 102 of those made the personal decision to “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Keep Evangelizing Youth is the KEY.
The scriptural admonition “do all in the name of the Lord Jesus” is the ongoing “why” of TTT Christian Youth Ministries.
During November, we continue to give thanks Saturday by Saturday, and between Saturdays, moving toward December 6. The thrust: Celebrate Jesus!
A candlelight celebration will surround specially decorated birthday cakes, sharing the Gospel based on the “wordless book” concept. In the center of the cake is a large candle representing Jesus: the Light of the world, as those attending pray and sing “Silent Night.” The celebration will climax with an invitation to respond to God’s plan of salvation and receive His greatest gift: Admit you’ve sinned, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Confess Christ publicly.
How do you and your family plan to celebrate Jesus’ birthday? Cartoonist Charles Schulz developed what is now an epic telling of the Christmas story through his Peanuts cartoon characters, titled “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” It shares the true story of the birth of God’s Son Jesus Christ. Then Linus says these impactful words: “That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.”
The most often quoted words from Jesus personally are: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
Why not gather your family around the Christmas tree at your house, have someone quote John 3:16, and invite everyone to admit they have sinned, to believe on the Lord Jesus personally, and to share the real meaning of Jesus with every person in your family and your friends’ families, too. It’s the way you can keep Christ in Christmas!
TTT Saturday nights continue each week. Doors open at 6 PM with “The Thirsty Tooth” snack shop, interaction, and game room available. At 7:27 PM every Saturday, TTT begins, in person and via livestream (with recent videos available on demand).
Saturday, February 7, 2026, “Rendezvous” is being planned to celebrate God’s faithfulness through 60 years and counting, Telling The TRUTH to / through teenagers. Reflecting on your involvement anytime during TTT’s first sixty years, you are invited to share your story.
Will you keep giving thanks in the name of the Lord Jesus?
