“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:36 NKJV
As advertising director for Word Records in Waco, Texas when we launched Word Books, including “Discover Your Destiny” by Dave Breese, it was my opportunity to inform bookstore owners in Illinois, Wisconsin, and the St. Louis area that Word Records was also publishing Word Books.
“I can hear my Savior calling: ‘Take My cross and follow Me.'”
I soon faced a dilemma. I was asked to consider being editor of Christian Bookseller magazine, and at the same time was asked to become director of Tri-State Youth for Christ.
Seeking God’s will, I made an appointment with my former pastor Charles Pedersen and his wife Mary, who were leading Christian League for the Handicapped in Walworth, Wisconsin.
On the way, I stopped in Milwaukee to meet with Vic Eliason, director of the Youth for Christ ministry there, to inform him that we were now publishing books as well as records. Vic said: “George, I’m more excited now about radio. We have just begun broadcasting on local station WBON.”
As I asked him to pray that I would make the right decision, Vic said: “If you choose to direct Tri-State Youth for Christ in Evansville, I would like to offer you 30 minutes airtime daily on our station.”
“Where He leads me, I will follow. I’ll go with Him all the way.”
Soon we were broadcasting weekly in Milwaukee and duplicated the broadcast on an Evansville station.
Much later, meeting with Vic Eliason at a National Religious Broadcasters convention, he proposed making our broadcast 2 minutes, to be aired on the VCY America network to fill a 2-minute time slot twice daily.
My son James was with me, and we soon produced “Telling The Truth” radio, to be aired twice daily on VCY America affiliates.
The program is aired at 7:27 each evening and 11:00 each morning on the VCY America network of 69 stations across the United States. We offer God’s ABCs of salvation to listeners to distribute wherever they desire.
“He will give me grace and glory, and go with me all the way.”
TTT is sharing the Gospel in person and online, across America and around the world.
My daughter Tami is leading TTT teams, taking Fair Share to Tri-State counties: July 6-10, Gibson, Indiana; July 9, McLean, Kentucky; July 12, Lawrence, Illinois; and July 13-17, Warrick, Indiana.
Doors are open to continue taking Fair Share: July 20-24, Richland County, Illinois; July 21-23, White County, Illinois; July 27-31, Knox County, Indiana; July 28-30, Edwards County, Illinois; and August 12-14, Wabash County Illinois.
Hundreds of bottles of cold water with the message “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” are being distributed, as are more hundreds of God’s ABCs of salvation. Surveys with teenagers are resulting in the Gospel being shared one on one, by TTT team members, with an invitation to “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,” and one by one youth are being “born again” into God’s forever family.
Saturday night July 11, Al Roesner and his daughter Christina flew in their private plane from Indianapolis to be at TTT in person. Christina read scripture publicly and I was privileged to interview Al. He has connected online many Saturdays worldwide – from a boat on the Amazon in Brazil, South America; from Myanmar; from Thailand; from Alaska and Alabama; from aboard a Delta airliner between Atlanta and Indianapolis; from a cruise ship on the Gulf of Mexico; and even from his home.
Al was very involved all during his high school years and beyond, year after year.
Christina participated with Fair Share as a teenager. She and her teenage brother Jeffrey flew the family Cessna from Indianapolis to Evansville to attend a TTT Saturday night. Other teenagers rode bicycles to TTT from Olney, Illinois; some rode their horses; others walked; and many have been brought in vehicles by parents, grandparents, and other caring adults.
Nearly every evening during Fair Share, TTT alumni are stopping by the TTT tents, sharing their stories and updates.
To celebrate what God has done and is doing through Fair Share, at 7:27 PM Saturday, August 15 at TTT, students ages 10-19, adult youth leaders, pastors, and truth-telling connectors are invited to join the TTT team for the Saturday night rally. Complementary Papa Johns pizza and soft drinks will be provided immediately following the rally for all attending in person.
The Gospel will be presented with an invitation to “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Let’s be “living water” – together toward tomorrow.
