Will you seek God’s will?

“Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, ‘Has God indeed said, “You shall not eat of every tree of the garden”?'” Genesis 3:1 NKJV

“Enter the villain … Satan steps into the human sphere … this deceiver and blasphemer, clearly seeing the issues that are at stake, moves in to make his play…” wrote Dave Breese in “Discover Your Destiny.”

“And the woman said to the serpent, ‘We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, “You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.” ‘ Then the serpent said to the woman, ‘You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’ ” Genesis 3:2-5 NKJV

“So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” Genesis 3:6 NKJV

“Then the Lord God called to Adam …, ‘Where are you?’ So he said, ‘I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.’ And He said, ‘Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?’ Then the man said, ‘The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.’ ” Genesis 3:9-12 NKJV

“And the Lord God said to the woman, ‘What is this you have done?’ The woman said, ‘The serpent deceived me, and I ate.’ So the Lord God said to the serpent: ‘Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.’ ” Genesis 3:13-15 NKJV

Where did this enemy come from?

“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.” Isaiah 14:12-15 NKJV

Dave Breese wrote in “Discover Your Destiny”: “God in His wisdom had now chosen to prove that the devil is indeed a liar and a deceiver with no truth in him.”

Seek God’s Will: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV

Breese continues: “God is good. The will of man has therefore become an instrument that is somehow connected with the destiny of the universe.”

But Satan‘s goal is to keep you and me from doing God’s will.

God provided a plan. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God” – belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the Gospel, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of the Spirit (the Word of God) – “that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand … praying always …” (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Rejoicing in what God has done during our first 60 years, we are anticipating what He will do as we go “Together Toward Tomorrow.”

As Hosanna Highway continues, we are praying “the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” as caring adults invite and transport 10-19 year-olds to TTT Saturday by Saturday, where youth will be invited to personally “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Will you prayerfully seek God’s will?
